Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and be committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in implementing the curriculum, engaging with students, and promoting positive behavior management strategies.

Experience in a Montessori school is a plus!

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a supportive learning community.
• Must possess strong behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among students.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Observe and document student behavior, providing feedback to the lead teacher as needed.
• Exemplify mature Christian character and look upon teaching as a ministry.
• Must be able to organize, coordinate, and monitor multiple activities at a time.
• Professionalism is required.
• Employees are required to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must obtain CPR / First Aid and Food Handler's certification, and maintain 24 clock hours of continuing education annually.
• Visible tattoos must be covered.
